Day 274 Nehemiah 11-13; Psalm 126

     Chapter 11 talks about how the people are to be distributed.
     In chapter 12, the Levites and the priests return and the wall is dedicated.
     Chapter 13 shows us the reform of God's house by Nehemiah.
     Psalm 126 talks about the people who have returned from captivity are to be thankful.  Those who are still in captivity are to be encouraged.

Day 275 Psalm 106; John 4:4-14

     In Psalm 106, we read about the happiness of God's people and their rebellions in Canaan.  We read about their prayer for a deliverance.
     This part of John 4 talks about the Samaritan woman.

Day 276 Matthew 1;  Luke 1-2:38

     In Matthew 1 we see the genealogy of Jesus.  We also read about the angel who appears to Joseph.
     In the first part of Luke, we read about Zacharias and Elisabeth and the birth of Christ is announced.

Day 277 Matthew 2; Luke 1:39-52

     Matthew 2 talks about how the wisemen search for Jesus and how the worship him.  It talks about the escape into Egypt and how the moved to Nezareth after Herod's death.
     In the last part of Luke chapter 1 we see the birth of John the Baptist and the song of Zacharias.

Day 278 Matthew 3; Mark 1:1-11; Luke 3; John 1:15-34

     In Matthew 3 we read about John the Baptist and his teaching.  We also see the baptism of Jesus.
  In the first part of Mark 1 we read about the baptism and temptation of Jesus.
     Luke 3 talks about the ministry of John the Baptist, the baptism of Christ, and the genealogy of Jesus.
     In these passages of John 1, talks about John the Baptist and John's testimony concerning Christ.

Day 279     Matthew 4:1-22, 13:54-58; Mark 1:12-20, 6:1-6;
                   Luke 4:1-30, 5:1-11; John 1:35-51, 2:1-12

    In these selection of verses we read about the temptation of Christ, Christ in the synagogue of Nazareth, his appointment of disciples, and the miracle of Cana.

Day 280 No reading.
