Geography Monday: Haiti

This week our travels bring us to Haiti!

Here are some things that we learned this week:

1.  Haiti is the poorest country in North and South America.

2.  Many Haitians practice voodoo.

We also added these books to our study.

Bouki Dances the Kokioko

Lego rendition of the "Le Negro Marron"  The Black Maroon in Port-au-Prince.

Instead of fried plantains that we really didn't like, I fixed fried bananas with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon!!

You can go HERE to see the other books that we use.

Stay tuned for next weeks adventures as we travel to Dominican Republic!

Blessings!!
