Ben and Jerry's Ice cream!!  We picked Mint Chocolate chip because they said this is the only one the pigs wouldn't eat!!

Homemade Pancake mix

My kids love pancakes!  I have always hated making them, just for the fact that I only make a batch at a time.  Well, after a little it of work, I finally have the perfect recipe to make a bulk batch of pancake mix.  

Whole Wheat Pancake Mix

Ingredients:

8 cups flour

1/2 c sugar

3 T baking powder

1.5 T of baking soda

2 t salt

Mix all ingredients together and store.  This will make enough for a half gallon mason jar and 1 batch of pancakes.

Grinding the flour for the mix.

Adding our ingredients.

Stirring.

Pouring in our storage container.

To make one batch of pancakes you need:

2 c pancake mix

1-1/2 c milk

1 egg

2 T oil.

Stir together and cook.

If you want to do 1 serving of pancakes, you need:

2/3 c pancake mix

1/2 c milk

1 small egg

2 t oil

Paul asks the Corinthians to open their hearts to him and to separate themselves from believers.  These chapters also discuss the giving’s of the Corinthians.

These chapters talk about Paul’s apostleship and his visit and warning.

For this lesson, we talked about building our faith on rock, not on sand.  I did the following object lesson:

                 Materials

                                2 tubs

                                Sand

                                Rock or brick

                                Water in a pitcher

                                Rubber band

                                House built out of legos

                Make sure you attach the house on the stone with a rubber band!

They should have a blast pouring water on them.  I used a brick for my 1st house since I couldn't find a large, flat rock in our driveway!

One Morning in Maine

L is for Lobster

For this state, we made a lighthouse.  You will need a paper towel holder painted, a sturdy piece of cardboard, some rocks, black paint, blue and green paper, and some kind of small box.  Ours was the lid off of a sandwich box.

First, you want to wrap the box in green paper.

Next you want to attach the blue paper to the cardboard.

Add glue to the bottom of the box,

and attach it to the blue!

Then, attach the red paper towel holder and the bottom off a cup

Next, paint on the windows for the lighthouse and glue on the rocks.

To eat, we picked up this lovely lobster at Kroger.

Checking it out!!

In the water it goes!!

And, back out!

Trying a piece!!

Not liking it at all!!
