Georgia is known for its peaches, so how about some peach cobbler oatmeal!!

1 cup of oats and 2 cup of water set to cook on the stove.

Put peaches in bowls and mash with a fork.  Add cinnamon and some brown sugar.  When oatmeal is done, add it to the bowls and mix!

 The boys enjoying their outmeal!!

This will be our last year doing this curriculum.  I am not liking the common core side that I was unaware of when I purchased it.  I have been just been taking things off the worksheet that I don't want to use.  I really like the Queens Homeschool math and so does Conner!!



We will be finishing up Mystery of History 2 and starting Mystery of History 3.

Viking Adventure

For this lesson we did some polar bear science.  The vikings were in Greenland, also known for polar bears.  We discussed how the polar bears have hair on the bottom of their feet that help to prevent them from sliding on the ice.

You will need 2 cans of tuna, a cookie sheet, a wash cloth, and a rubber band.

1st- put the washcloth around one of the cans of tuna and secure with the rubber band.

The one with the washcloth is the polar bear and the one without is the viking.

The viking slid away and the polar bear held his ground.

The next thing we did was mark off 20 feet on the side walk outside of earth.  That is how far a polar bear can jump.  I had him run and jump to see if he could jump that far.  

He made it 6 feet!!
