Monday we read the story, then we talked about China and he colored in a map.
We also made a flag of China.  I gave a piece of white cardstock.  Then I had him tear pieces of red tissue paper.  I watered down some glue and had him use a paint brush to apply the glue to the paper.

We also did some copywork.
Wednesday
We painted a plate, 2 hands, and a circle yellow.  I cut out the feet and duck bill out of orange construction paper.
Thursday
We colored our Ping family for math.
The we did our buoyancy activity.
Friday
We did a worksheet on the life cycle of a duck.  You can find it here:

We also cut 2 ducks out of a brown paper bag.  I sprayed one with cooking oil and left the other one plain.  I had him put water in an eye dropper and see what happens.  Then we discussed that ducks can't get wet because they have oil on their feathers.
All in all a fairly good row!
Blessings!
Looks like a great week! Ping was one of our favourites and I'm looking forward to rowing it again with our youngest later in the year.
