Series: Bible in a Year with your kids week #20 FREE Activity Packet

     Can't believe we are on week 20 of reading the Bible!!  Flying right along and loving every minute of it!!  Don't forget, if you need any prayers, leave them in the comments!

Day 134 Psalm 97-99
     Psalm 97 talks about how Jesus' power cannot be resisted.  His care and provision for his will continue.
     Psalm 98 talks about the glory and the joy of our redeemer.
     Psalm 99 talks about how happy God's people are.

Day 135 2 Samuel 24; 1 Chronicles 21-22; Psalm 30
     2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles 21 talks about David numbering his people and chooses the pestilence.  David offers a sacrifice and the plague is removed.
     In 1 Chronicles 22, David makes preparations for the temple.  David gives Solomon instructions.
     Psalm 30 praises God for his deliverance and how others are encouraged by Him.

Day 136 Psalm 108-109
     In Psalm 109, David complains about his enemies and prophesies their destruction.

Day 137 1 Chronicles 23-26
     1 Chronicles 23 David declares Solomon as his successor and the offices of the Levites are determined.
     1 Chronicles 24 talks about the divisions of the priests and the Levites.
     1 Chronicles 25 talks about the singers and the musicians.
     1 Chronicles 26 talks about the offices of the Levites.

Day 138 Psalm 131, 138-139, 143-145
     Psalm 131 talks about the psalmist's humility and how we are to trust God.
     In Psalm 138, the psalmist praises God  for answering prayers and how the Lord deals with the humble and the proud.
     Psalm 139 tells us that God knows everything and is everywhere.  The psalmist mentions hatred to sin and a desire to do right.
     In Psalm 143 David complains about his enemies and prays for guidance and comfort.
     In Psalm 144 David acknowledges the greatness of God.  He prays for help and for the prosperity of his kingdom.
     In Psalm 145 David talks about the power, mercy, and goodness of the Lord.

Day 139  1 Chronicles 27-29; Psalm 68
     1 Chronicles 27 talks about David's  military forces, the princes, and officers.
     1 Chronicles 28 David tells the people to fear the Lord.
     1 Chronicles 29 talks about David's death and Solomon takes over the throne.
     Psalm 68 is a prayer about the goodness and wonderful works of God.

  4. Thank you so much for doing this. Right now we are doing online public school and I am furious to see how much learning there is about gods! It's not just in history but in his art lessons and even in some literature. We are finishing up the year and then next year we are going to do traditional homeschooling. For history, for the next 2 years, we are doing nothing but the Bible (and then some geography). I think I'll be using your Bible in a year downloads for that. Thank you so much!!!

  6. Ok, this is great! I love that you have broken down each days reading into an easy exercise as well! Very cool. Honestly, what could be more important to read to your kids than God's word?

  7. I do think these are great activities. I was reading in Psalms myself this week. (I do the Bible in 90 Days). And I've been in Judges reading with my kids.

  8. This was a bit of a 'duh' moment for me! I have been trying to read through the Bible in a year myself, but I hadn't thought about having the kids join me. Why didn't I think of that??? Great idea, great printables! New goal for next school year :-)
