Math worksheets for number 11

I don't know if you have seen the website http://www.beginningreading.com/,  but they have some pretty awesome worksheets.  Their number worksheets stop on 10, so I made some of my own.  Here is the ones for number 11.  There are 5 total, enough for everyday.  My son loves farming, so all the images came off of google images.

Weeks 7 thru 11

Been super busy and haven't been able to post so catching up today and should be able to post more often now.  We have sped up on our upper case letters.  We are doing a new one every 2 days:

And our bible numbers:

7: 7 dips in Jordon II Kings 5:1-14
8: 8 yr old king II Kings 22:1-2
9: 9 Unthankful men Luke 17:12-19
0: 0 manna found Exodus 16:26-27
10: 10 girls Matthew 25:1-13

We also studied Joseph:

And Moses he painted his own burning bush:

Shapes: Rectangles and squares
Misc crafts:

We have been reading the Usbourne book on Birds for science, so we went to Glen Helen's Raptor center near Yellow Springs and checked out their birds.

The bald eagle. The birds here either can't fly or can't not be returned to nature for some other reason. Therefore the zoos don't want them either since they require extra care.

Then of course we went to Youngs Dairy for ice cream and putt putt.  He got a hole in one!!

Chore Charts

Needed to make some new chore charts for little man.  Needed one to put in his workbox on Friday for cleaning his classroom up.  So I created this one:

Then I created  a morning chore chart to go along with his Melissa and Doug magnetic chore chart.  I really needed this one to help us remember to take our vitamins and brush our teeth in the morning.

Also, neat way to save paper if you have another kid that would benefit from a worksheet or are teaching 2 at once the same lesson, get some projector clear sheets and clipboards.  Put the worksheet between the two and viola, you have a worksheet that can still be used.

Hope everyone has a blessed week!

Week 4

Week 4 went great! Instead of doing a bible story this week, we talked about the importance of prayer in our life.

Our letters of the week were E and F. So we did our Totally Tots letters and our letter art page.  E was elbow painting and elephants and F was feathers and frogs.

Our number craft was from the 4 fisherman's in Matthew 4:18-22.  I had to bribe him with a cookie just so he would glue his fish to the picture!

Then we started our fall crafts.  First we did some leaf  drawings and I put the poem in it that I found at Mama Jenn's website http://mama-jenn.blogspot.com/2010/04/four-seasons-book.html
Last but least, I am now the only one teaching Wednesday night bible class for ages 4-7 so I will try to put in our craft for the week that we done to help any of you out with ideas!  We did Zaccheaus this week, so after reading from the Bible I had them draw their arm and hand on a piece of paper. The hand we used a cotton ball since it was easier for them to stay on the fingers that way.  Then I printed out a picture of Zaccheaus off of the dltk website and had them glue it on the picture.  We also practice climbing on the chairs to see if we could see objects better.

First 3 weeks of school

These first few weeks of school has just flown by! Conner is having a lot of fun learning and making great strides! Even the dog has enjoyed us being home since I quit my job.

Some of the things we have been doing:

Our letters from Totally Tots

Pages for his alphabet art book.  A: apples with an ink pad
B: Blue finger paint, band aids, and blue ribbon
C: cotton ball painting and car tracks with an ink pad
D: Dots with a marker, stickers of dragonflies and dogs

Bible numbers  1: Parable of the lost coin Luke 15:8-10
                       2: Esau & Jacob Genesis 25:24-28
                       3: 3 wisemen Matthew 2:1-11

Bible stories: Abraham, Jesus walks on water, the burning furnace, and what Heaven might look like.

Doing a picture of the planets with crayons and then using 1/4 c epsom salts and 1/4 c warm water to paint over the picture to make it look like stars.

Triangle collage and our sun with hands as the rays!

All in all a great first three weeks! Was worried when God led me down this path, but went for it and with His guidance I can say it has worked out!! God is soooo good!

Classroom

1st post! Excited to share pictures of our classroom. We start school on Monday August 22! So excited and so is little man!!

Before, had to take a wall out. Lost half of our side attic, but got rid of a lot of things that weren't needed anyways!! The top picture has the wall we took out in it.

After!! Wall is down, sewing machine is moved upstairs.  He thought it was funny that we "hung his letters out to dry." Silly boy!!

We live in an old school house, so some of our walls are 18" thick. Makes for great built in bookcases! Put his workboxes by his desk.
Saw a picture similar to this on another blog and I loved it, so I thought I would try it. After I painted it, Conner asked for a combine also. I told him to ask his grandpa since I am not that good!

Can't wait to get started next week! Hoping to keep it looking like this everyday!
