This will be our last year doing this curriculum. I am not liking the common core side that I was unaware of when I purchased it. I have been just been taking things off the worksheet that I don't want to use. I really like the Queens Homeschool math and so does Conner!!
We will be finishing up Mystery of History 2 and starting Mystery of History 3.

Aw, thanks so much for including my Year of Learning Our Lessons with the Berenstain Bears curriculum Cathy! We love the Reading Comprehension daily drills by Evan Moor as well and have used them for years :-)
ReplyDeleteI had been thinking about using Jessie Wise's language books. We'll start homeschooling our eldest in September. What do you like about them?
ReplyDeleteI love the memorization aspect of them the best. It is scripted for the teacher, mostly verbal instead of worksheet, and flows very nicely. I also love the Writing with Ease. Gets the kids thinking about literature.
DeleteI was wondering what you found in Horizons math that is common core? I haven't found anything that I really disagree with. I would love to hear what you have found.
