Geography Monday: Panama

This week our travels bring us to Panama!

Here are some things that we learned this week:

1.  The Panama Canal took 10 years and $380,000,000 to build.  39 ships pass through the canal daily with an average cost of $54,000.

2.  Panama is an isthmus.  Meaning it is a narrow strip of land that is bordered on both sides with water, that connect 2 larger bodies of land.

We also added these books to our study.
