We used a volleyball as earth and a tennis ball as our moon.

The sun was a flashlight.  I was holding it without the moon in the way.

This time the moon was in the way and you can see the eclipse!

I set up a town with houses and cars  in flour.  I had him drop a marble in to represent a small meteorite.

Then I had him drop a tennis ball to represent a large meteorite.

Then we compared the holes.

Making our own constellation!!  Can you tell we are a little Dragons crazy here!!

He added his stars under his cut-out.  Then I traced it with white chalk and named it!

Our next topic on stars was why we don't see them during the day.  I gave him a piece of black construction paper and a piece of white paper and had him draw a star both in white chalk to demonstrate why we don't see them.
