This month we studied Michelangelo

Week 1:

We read the book:

Michelangelo

For this project, he drew part of the Sistene Chapel depicting where God gave Adam life.

Then I put it on the underside of our piano bench and had him paint it.

Finished product!

We read the book:

Michelangelo Buonarroti

For this project, I had him carve out of soap.  He chose a fish and I gave him some ceramic tools.

Week 3:

This weeks art project involved plaster of Paris!!

First, he spread it flat on a piece of cardboard.

After letting it dry, he drew a picture and then painted it.
