Poppins Book Nook: Composers




Welcome back to another month of Poppins Book Nook.  This month was on composers.  I chose a book on Beethoven.  Conner has been taking piano lessons for over a year and he just finished a song that Beethoven wrote, so I thought we would read about him.

The book we chose was:


This is a really cute story about the composer.  Hard to believe he had 5 legless pianos and lived in 39 different apartments!!

USA study: Missouri

State facts:
     1.  Ice cream cones were invented here at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair when an ice cream vendor ran out of dishes and rolled waffles into cones and filled them.
     2.  Missouri is the country's leading grower of black walnuts.
     3.  The Gateway Arch in St. Louis is the tallest monument in the US.
